Happy New Year! Are you energized by new beginnings, or feeling a post-holiday letdown?

For some, the holidays bring challenges—high expectations, financial stress, or reminders of loss. Others may feel the letdown after joyful celebrations, a period of rest, or time with loved ones.

As an expat or international, you might face loneliness or sadness returning to your life abroad after visiting family or hosting guests. Exhaustion from travel or gatherings coinciding with gloomy weather (like here in NL) can add to the dip in mood.

Post-holiday blues are common and typically short-lived. If these feelings persist for over two weeks and interfere with daily life, consider speaking with your doctor to get some additional support.

Also, importantly remember you are not alone.
